Dolly was picked up by the council and sent to the pound. Her
owners contacted the pound and were well aware of the day Dolly
was to be put to sleep, however, they never returned.
My friends at Staffy
Rescue were called and Mina arrived 2 hours before Dolly was
due for "the" shot.
I was at Staffy Rescue helping out and looking at all the wonderful
homeless dogs when Dolly caught my eye. Got her out with my dogs
and she was so at home, it didn't take long for me to realise
she was supposed to be with us!
She is elderly, around the 10 years mark and would probably have
spent the rest of her life with Staffy Rescue, as not many people
go there to get an old dog.
So, Dolly is now part of my pack and she's settled in really well
and I love her to pieces - those who knew Matey, will know what
a sucker I am for the oldies!!!! (As those who have met Dolly,
have pointed out, no wonder I HAD to have her, she is Fudge in
10 years!)
Hope you enjoy seeing her spotted throughout the photos!
